Created by La Gloria Cigars and bearing the El Credito band to signify the factory in which it is rolled, the El Perrito has recently made its debut. The cigar has been nicknamed the “War of Flavors” for its use of two separate filler tobaccos.
This value priced cigar is rough looking, all handmade, using no molds. The dark brown wrapper leaf is full of bumps and has a mottled appearance.
The torpedo like head has no cap. The draw was easy with cedar and tobacco flavors on the pre-light.
There was a strong burst of natural tobacco flavor on first few puffs. The cigar then settled into creamy tobacco flavors with hints of wood and cedar. There was plenty of spice on the exhale along with a good amount of smoke.
The cigar was a fast smoke with a loose ash and an even burn.
I enjoyed this cigar thoroughly. It had a lot more flavor than some of the other smaller, shorter cigars I have sought out for lunch time or quick break smokes. The El Perrito is a definite winner and one cigar I will stock in my humidor often.
The suggested retail price of the El Perrito is just $2.50 per cigar, or a 50-count, boxed bundle for $125.00.
