This cocktail is a new concoction created by Beachbum Berry. Typically, when I am enjoying a cigar in the evening, I’ve paired it with an aged rum or bourbon. For this summer though, the Bourbon Special has become my “goto” during this time.
Bourbon Special
- 1 1/2 oz. bourbon
- 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
- 1/4 oz. simple syrup
- 1/4 oz. falernum or homemade falernum #9
- 3/4 oz. ginger beer, chilled
- Dash of Angostura bitters
Shake with ice cubes and pour unstrained into an old-fashioned glass.
