The Cocoanut Grove cocktail comes from Los Angeles’ Ambassador Hotel. The hotel opened in the 1920’s. This drink is from the hotel’s bar of the same name circa 1940.
Ingredients
- 1/2 oz. coconut cream
- 1 oz. fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz. orange curacao
- 2 oz. light rum
- 8 oz. crushed ice
Steps
Put everything in a blender. Blend for about 30 seconds or until smooth. Pour into a cocktail glass or champagne saucer. Garnish as desired.
