Blue Hawaii – a Tiki Tuesday cocktail for the home bartender

The Blue Hawaii Tiki cocktail was created by Harry Yee in 1957 while he worked at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

The recipe I’m using is a variation of Harry Yee’s that was created sometime in the 1980’s.

Blue Hawaii

  • 2 oz. unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 oz. simple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream or half & half
  • 1 1/2 oz. vodka

Shake well with plenty of crushed ice. Pour unstrained into a tall glass.
