The factory building was constructed by F. Lozano, Son & Company. They occupied the factory from 1905 to 1923.
In 1924, Morgan Cigar Company bought the rights to the F. Lozano cigar brands.

In 2005, the Lions Eye Institute for Transplant Research purchased the building and renovated it for their new Headquarters and research facility.
