My Yellow Submarine didn’t look very yellow. I didn’t have white créme de cacao, mine was dark. My rum was also a little darker than gold. I could have gone with a white rum to compensate but, I wanted a richer rum flavor. Oh well, I lose a few points for presentation but the drink tasted great.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz. unsweetened pineapple juice
- 3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 oz. créme de banana
- 1/4 oz. white créme de cacao
- 1/4 oz. sugar syrup
- 1 1/2 oz. gold vigin islands rum
Steps:
- Shake with ice cubes
- Pour unstrained into a glass.
- Add more ice to fill if needed.
- Garnish with a pineapple chunk speared to a green cocktail cherry.

Tasting notes:
This drink certainly falls into the sour category of cocktails. The lemon juice is up front but, on the finish there is a nice, sweet, banana and rum finish.
I enjoyed this drink very much.
