Cigars of 2020

Favorite cigars of 2020; a bakers dozen

Cigar Review

This is not your typical end of year “Best of” or “Top Picks” lists. This is a list of my favorite cigars in general.

“My” Cigars

These first eight cigars are the ones I purchase frequently for myself. Most of these cigars have been around for a long time and I can always count on them to be great smokes.

I’ve reviewed a couple of them in the past, most likely on my old Tampa Cigar Examiner site. I do know that I’ll never review the AF Hemingway. When I smoke that cigar, I don’t want to be bothered with notes, or concentrate on blends, characteristics, etc. I just want to settle in, enjoy my “go-to” cigar and let my mind wander. It’s probably the same deal for the next two on the list because they are a very close 2nd and 3rd favorite cigars for me.

  • Arturo Fuente Hemingway Signature
  • Arturo Fuente Flor Fina 8-5-8 (all wrappers)
  • Cuesta Rey Centro Fino No. 60
  • Drew Estate Factory Smokes Sungrown
  • La Aurora 107
  • Olivia O
  • Perla Del Mar
  • Quorum Classic
The reviewed cigars I really enjoyed

These next five just really impressed me with their quality and flavors. Some I received for review, others as part of my monthly subscription. When I see them in my local shops, I pick a couple up to enjoy again.

  • DTT Sobremesa Brûlée
  • Casa Cuevas Reserva Maduro
  • Mbombay M.Estelí
  • Maya Selva Villa Zamorano Reserva
  • Villager Cuellar Black Forest
Cigars I really miss

Going though this list made me think about a lot of cigars. These three came to mind as cigars I wish I could smoke once more.

  • Berger & Argenti Exile Wired
  • La Caridad del Cobre
  • Original Arturo Fuente Anejo (pre-production release)

What are your favorite cigars of the year or just your favorites of all time? Are any of yours on my list? I’d like to know so, please drop a comment below.

Happy New Year!
